Hurricane Katrina
| The
damage that Hurricane Katrina brought to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi is
astonishing; the eccentricity of the damage in Slidell is surreal; and the
tragedy of the people being sheltered in Houston is heartbreaking.
I joined the Red Cross teams to document the damage Katrina has brought. It was a grand adventure, but also a painful one as I heard harrowing stories of survival, and mournful tales of despair and loss. These photos are but a small fraction of the images I took while in the region. However, they are some of my favorites, and some of the most evocative. Bradley |
